What a hosted desk can and cannot do
Everything a self-hosted Banimark does — answers, handover, rules, team, widget, chat link, mobile — with one difference: it cannot connect to your database directly, because your database is not here. Lookups go through your own API instead, with a signed, short-lived token on every call so your API decides what each customer may see. If you would rather have direct database lookups, run it on your own server.
